Territory Business Manager- St Louis

Job Summary

Rigel Territory Business Managers (TBMs) will appropriately promote Tavalisse® (Fostamatinib) in chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia (cITP), REZLIDHIA® (Olutasidenib) in relapsed or refractory mIDH1 Acute Myeloid Leukemia (R/R mIDH1 AML) and Gavreto® (Pralsetinib) in (RET) fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as detected by an FDA-approved test, to maximize new patient starts in their assigned territory through focused execution, cross-functional collaboration, and commitment to positively impacting the lives of patients.

The Rigel Territory Business Manager is required to be an expert on the patient’s clinical profile, the business of hematology/oncology as well as access & reimbursement. They will also serve as the “quarterback” for the broader Rigel field team, collaborating with their colleagues to build and execute strategic plans that will positively impact our customers and assist us in achieving our goals.

The Territory Business Manager should possess strong communication skills, excellent account management experience in both academic institutions and community practices, and established relationships with target hematology/oncology physicians in the assigned territory. The St. Louis Territory covers all of Missouri, except for Kansas City and surrounding area, Illinois to the Iowa boarder (Central and Southern ILL,) and Southwestern IN.

Salary Range $180,000 - $220,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for meeting/exceeding territory sales goals by influencing Key Thought Leaders and prescribers in the assigned territory
  • Priority responsibilities for Tavalisse include establishing effective sales interactions with cITP prescribers while fostering productive, trusted relationships with members of the patient care team. Working collaboratively with the territories overlapping Virtual Sales Representative(s) to ensure that territory planning and execution are optimized for Tavalisse.
  • Priority responsibilities for REZLIDHIA include gaining access to ensure effective sales interactions with AML healthcare providers, including leukemia specialists, community healthcare providers, and their care teams in community settings. Working collaboratively with the territory's overlapping Institutional Business Manager(s) will be critical in understanding referral patterns between Academic and Community customers.
  • Priority responsibilities for Gavreto include identifying medical oncologists who treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in both institutional and Community settings to build productive, trusted relationships with them and their care teams.
  • Comprehensive strategic business planning and execution through key accounts and customers to serve the needs of patients.
  • Territory Business Managers must demonstrate product & disease state expertise, and product access/reimbursement expertise.

ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A passion for proactive, continuous learning on disease state, treatment of cITP, and the oral oncolytic access & reimbursement environment impacting our customers.
  • An innovative Business Planning mindset is required. Demonstrates agility and resourcefulness in responding to customers’ needs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS or equivalent with 0-4 years of rare disease, specialty pharmacy, oncology/hematology sales experience preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of advanced degree and experience.
  • Excellent account management skills and established relationships with target physicians in assigned territory preferred but not required.
  • Proven entrepreneurial skills with the ability to thrive as a territory business owner.
  • Exceptional collaboration & communication skills.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Frequent travel may be required.
